The Allied Health Rural Generalist Accreditation Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to become team members to undertake the accreditation of post graduate university courses supporting Allied Health Rural Generalist training in Australia.
Teams will be comprised of three individuals, one of who must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, who collectively have expertise and experience in:
Rural and remote allied health service delivery in Australia.
Academic tertiary health professional education in Australia.
Interprofessional learning, assessment, or accreditation.
Allied Health Professional clinical practice in a remote or rural setting.
Accreditation processes.
Consumer advocacy.
The accreditation teams will
Review the available evidence and determine whether an education program meets the AHRG Accreditation Standards.
Provide an overall recommendation to the AHRG Accreditation Council on whether a program is suitable to be accredited; and
Identify areas of commendation for an education program undergoing the accreditation process and make quality improvement recommendations.
Expressions of Interest will remain current for 12 months and must be received by the Executive Officer of the AHRG Accreditation Council by Monday 13th May. An honorarium will be paid to successful candidates who become accreditation team members. Training is provided.
