North and West Remote Health (NWRH) is a vibrant not-for-profit organisation servicing over 50 communities throughout rural, regional, and remote Queensland.
Operating since 1993, our purpose is to support healthier people—physically, socially, and emotionally.
We have several fantastic opportunities for Graduate Allied Health Professionals to join our dedicated teams based in either Townsville, Mount Isa, or Longreach, Queensland.
Opportunities currently exist for:
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Podiatrists
  • Speech Pathologists

To be considered, you must hold (or be in the final year of) a tertiary qualification in your relevant discipline. You must also be eligible for registration with AHPRA or your relevant Professional Association now, or upon graduation.
There are opportunities available for you to come on board prior to your completion and registration.

Why join NWRH as a Graduate?

  • A highly variable clinical case load guarantees extensive exposure to a wide range of clinical presentations, allowing you to experience all areas of your discipline early in your career.
  • NWRH graduate positions are well supported with structured internal and external supervision and mentoring.
  • NWRH has a great team culture with many early career professionals across our business readily accessible and eager to provide collaborative peer support.
  • NWRH employs a large multidisciplinary team that you will work with. Within your new graduate year, you will learn about other health disciplines’ roles, holistic health care and existing referral pathways to maximise care and clinical outcomes for clients.

NWRH employ Senior Clinicians in each of the Allied Health disciplines, which will support you by:

  • Providing feedback about your clinical documentation and work-day structure.
  • Providing regular one on one mentoring sessions.
  • Organising peer group mentoring and discipline-specific in-services.
  • Facilitating an online discipline-specific Microsoft Teams group, that allows you to ask your peers about clinical queries you might be experiencing within your caseload.
  • Providing work shadowing opportunities.
  • Allowing you to drive your own success, work autonomously, and become a successful and experienced Allied Health Professional.

At NWRH, we pride ourselves on growing our clinicians to be the best versions of themselves and providing career progression opportunities at all levels of our business.

We love our work - so will you!
