The Senior Clinical Educator position is a joint position between Flinders University and Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) within the framework of the partnership agreement which aims to ensure high quality educational experiences for allied health professional students.

The Senior Clinical Educator applies clinical expertise and significant experience in the delivery of interdisciplinary Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT) and Speech Pathology (SP) services in rural and remote settings to the coordination and development of clinical education and training for students and Supervisors of OT students on placement across RMCLHN.  Working in partnership with University stakeholders, the Senior Clinical Educator supports OT, PT & SP students and OT, PT & SP Student Supervisors, contributes to clinical teaching, conducts quality evaluation, undertakes and facilitates research, provides advice to RMCLHN Management and University partners on clinical education and development opportunities, and provides an inter-professional Clinical Education consultancy service across the network. 

 The Senior Clinical Educator is line managed by the Operations Manager Allied Health – NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) & CHAD (Child Health and Health Disability), receives clinical support and supervision from the Advanced Clinical Lead, and maintains cooperative working relationships with other Allied Health Professional Clinical Seniors, local team members and key stakeholders in the Region and State.

Must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association. For those professions requiring Registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled. For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited continuing professional development program.
