SARRAH Project Officer

Salary: Salary is negotiable depending on experience ($76,363 – $94,386 1.0FTE equivalent)

Services for Australian Rural and Remote Australia (SARRAH) is looking for a self-motivated and innovative Project Officer. We are an energetic team with a close collaborative work dynamic, and we have embraced remote worker arrangements.  Working closely with the Project Director, CEO and project team, role will support the implementation and monitoring of project activities within SARRAH including, the Allied Health Rural Generalist Education and Training Scheme and the Building Rural and Remote Allied Health Assistant Workforce project.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Sound knowledge of SARRAH’s functions and activities (or the capacity to quickly acquire that knowledge) and highly developed project management and administrative skills.
  2. Experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects
  3. Highly developed research and analytical skills.
  4. Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and written communication skills
  5. Ability to plan and set priorities, monitor and organise workflow and respond dynamically.
  6. Excellent IT skills with the ability to utilise these skills and a variety of software across all facets of the role for project planning, monitoring and evaluation, grant management, workload management, digital promotion, marketing and communication.
  7. Demonstrated ability to achieve work objectives with minimum supervision, and often remotely
  8. Demonstrated commitment and ability to operate within and apply the principles of diversity, equity and safety in the workplace.


  1. Tertiary qualification/s in allied health or directly related or relevant field or qualifications in project management;
  2. Experience working in regional, rural or remote Australia.
  3. Experience in or knowledge of telehealth service design, delivery and research.
  4. Experience in communications including digital and social media strategies.
  5. Experience in document, short video and social media design, creation and promotion using a variety of programs such as (but not limited to): Canva, Loom, animaker.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience ($76,363 – $94,386 1.0FTE equivalent)
