Speakers and general delegates to the 2012 National SARRAH Conference were requested to put forward recommendations based on the presentations at each session. These recommendations informed policies and proposals intended to improve access to allied health services in rural and remote Australia.

Conference recommendations focused on advocacy, policy, workforce, data, research, evaluation, education, management, leadership, indigenous health, oral health, allied health assistants and models of service delivery.
