How do I start my on line application |
| | Go to the Continuing Professional Development Scholarship page and follow the links to the on-line application. It is expected to open on the 6 August 2012. When you start the application an automated do not reply email will be sent to your email address with your password username and application code. You will need these details for all future references to this application. Sometimes this email ends up in the junk or spam mailbox. |

How do I know if my application has been submitted? |
| | A confirmation do not reply email is sent once the application is submitted. This email is your receipt, do not delete this email. Sometimes the do not reply emails end up in the spam or junk mail box. If you do not get this email log back into your application and check that all the sections on the left hand side are outlined in green. |

I can't log back into the application |
| | The latest version of ADOBE flash player is required.
Some state or territory health departments do not allow staff to download the ADOBE Flash Player software. Contact your IT department.
There may be other NAHSSS Scholarships open at the same time make sure you are trying to log back into the NAHSSS CPD Scholarship. You must enter the application code exactly how it appears in the automated email.

| | To log back into your application if it is not competed in one sitting. Or, to log back in to the application after its submitted to change something. |

How is the application assessed |
| | An assessment panel made up of a cross section of allied health professionals will assess the answers to the selection criteria. The marks given by the panel go towards the order of merit. |

Can I get feedback if unsuccesful |
| | No, individual feedback on applications is beyond the capacity of the Scholarship Administrator to provide. However analyse of applications several years ago by the assessors demonstrated that over 95% of applicants were worthy of a scholarship. There is a finite amount of funds to spread over 5 separate scholarship programs. Apply again next year. |

Does the scholarship cover overseas conferences |
| | No funding is only for activites that take place within our borders |

What happens ifmy course is cancelled |
| | You must contact the Scholarship Administrator within fourteen days. If the course is rescheduled within 12 months the applicant can enroll in the new course. If the course will not be rescheduled before 12 months the scholar can choose another course to attend. It is left to the discretion of the scholar to choose an appropriate course. |

Can I apply for a course in the second half of 2013 |
| | No the scholarship is for CPD activities that start before June 30 2013. There will be a second round of CPD Scholarships for activites that start after 1 July 2013. This round will open in April 2013 |

I dont know the exact dates for my course |
| | You must enter a start and finish date on the application if you do not know the exact dates just put an estimate. You can update these details if your application is successful. If you are applying for the first round the activity must take place between 1 January - 30 June. Activities in the second round must take place from 1 July -to 31 December. If the activity straddles these dates by a few days contact the Postgraduate office on 1800338061 |

My CPD activity starts before 1 July am I eligible to apply in the second round |
| | There are two NAHSSS CPD rounds per calendar year. The first round covers the period 1 January -30 June and the second round covers the period 1 July - 31 December. When the activity starts in the last week of June and ends in the first week of July the applicant can apply in either round. Please note the scholarship is not retrospective, if the applicant has already started the activity when the application is lodged the application is ineligible. |

I have not worked in a rural area for 12 months |
| | Applicants who claim rurality should have completed 12 months of service. Where the length of service is less than 12 months, the Administrator will use discretion in determining eligibility of the rural ranking. |

I have received a scholarship in the past am I eligible? |
| | If the scholarship was administered by SARRAH or funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing you must wait 12 months from the time the scholarship was completed before you are eligible to reapply. A scholarship is complete after the last payment is made. All previous scholarships administered by SARRAH are now consolidated under the Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Support Scheme (NAHSSS). |

Are students eligible |
| | If you are studying at the undergraduate or entry level you are not eligible for the NAHSSS Postgraduate Program. This scholarship is specifically for qualified Allied Health Professionals who deliver a clinical service. |

Do I have to be a member of SARRAH to Apply? |
| | No. The Scholarship is open to all eligible Allied Health Professions who deliver a clinical service within Australia. SARRAH membership is not part of the assessment process. |

| | Check the spam/junk mail depending on your settings autoreply emails may end up in spam/junk.
The auto reply email is sent to the email address in the login details. There may be a typo in the details you entered. |

| |
No. You must be a practicing Allied Health Professional at the time you apply for either the NAHSSS Postgraduate or CPD Scholarship. |

How do I apply for one of the new Tasmanian Scholarships |
| | The eligibility criteria and application process for the Tasmanian CPD Scholarship is the same as for the current NAHSSS CPD Scholarship, however these new scholarships can only be awarded to practicing Tasmanian Allied Health Professionals |
