News articles have been written by Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) to support the National Rural and Remote Support Service (NRRSS). The articles are intended to consitute a professional development resource for allied health professionals seeking to register as an early intervention service provider with the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
The department funds two programs that provide $12,000 through either the Better Start of Children with a Disability Initiative or the Helping Children with Autism Package to families with children who have a disability or developmental delay under the age of seven years.
In addition to allied health professionals who register with DSS, the news articles are intended to support those professionals who are actively developing a telehealth or rural and remote outreach business. Allied health professionals may either deliver early intervention services or general services to people with a disability or developmental delay.
